In
"Happy Little Trees"
you first divide the deck equally among all
players. Then, beginning with one card in the
middle of the playing are, and expanding cards
in a grid formation outward, players attempt
to match cards from their personal decks in
order to "plant" them (by either the
color of the tree's foliage, or the shape of
the tree, it is planted beside). There are also
"open meadow" cards that work as spacers,
and "shovel" cards (provided in the
expansion deck), that allow you to dig up trees
and give them to other players to impede their
progress. If you plant your entire hand during
a turn, you get an extra turn. The first player
to plant all of his or her trees, wins! |
