In
"Word Birdy" all
players are initially dealt 5 cards, and the
remainder are placed face up, in an expansive
grid of cards, on the playing surface. After
that, players take turns combining one card
in their hands, with any connected letters in
the grid, in an attempt to spell the lengthiest,
highest-scoring word in conversational English.
"Any Letter" bird cards, of course,
can squawk the letter of your choosing—as
wild cards, so as to help players create words
more easily (although they don't provide any
points themselves). The end goal? To spell five
different words, between two and ten letters,
that score you more points, collectively, than
your opponents. Squawk. Spell. Repeat. |
